Currently, Mitchell County does not accept any payments through online services. However, paymens for taxes may be made using a toll-free telephone number.
To Pay Taxes Via The Phone
The Tax Collector's office can accept payment with a credit card through Official Payments Corporation (toll-free number 1-877-889-6052). You can pay real property or motor vehicle taxes using this option. A fee will be assessed to your card of which you will be notified before completing this transaction. Call the number and follow the prompts to complete your payment, or to learn more about the service.
To Pay Taxes Online
The Mitchell County Tax Collector is now taking credit and debit card payments for county taxes. Citizens can come into our offices and pay their real estate, personal property, and motor vehicle taxes at the counter or go to www.webfeepay.com and select Mitchell County, North Carolina to instantly pay taxes online. A nominal convenience fee will be charged by a third-party processing clearinghouse for transactions.
